Good day on the water

I will add stuff here later about myself but for now I will focus on the boat.  She is a 1966 Pearson Vanguard.  I am at least the 4th owner of this boat.  There may have been 5 but the person I bought her from was not sure.  When I bought the boat she was in pretty much original condition and except for some minor upgrades, remains so today.  The most surprising thing is that the engine (an Atomic 4) is still running.  The previous owner, who had the boat for 20 years, told me that neither he nor any of the other owners ever did an overhaul on it.  WOW! Still running (well, most of the time) after 46 years.

Somewhere along the way wheel steering was added.  I have added a new depth sounder, chartplotter, and a new stove.  I also replaced the original exhaust.  But, other than that the boat is original. I like my boat. She has crazy quirks, can really piss me off, and is not the fastest thing around. However, we eventually get to where we are going and she looks great when we do finally anchor.
